Thomas M. Prestia is an Associate at Lubell and Rosen LLC, practicing in the area of medical malpractice defense.
As a former Assistant State Attorney for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit State Attorney's Office in Miami, Florida Mr. Prestia has tried well over 150 felony and misdemeanor cases, including both jury and non-jury trials. Mr. Prestia received his Juris Doctor cum laude from Barry University School of Law, Orlando, Florida, and his Bachelor of Science in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida.
While in law school, Mr. Prestia was recognized for his excellence as a recipient of the Book Award in Commercial Trial Advocacy. Mr. Prestia was also a key member to the school's nationally recognized trial team earning a spot as a semi-finalist in several competitions: The Honorable Chester Bedell Memorial Mock Trial Competition sponsored by the Florida Bar, and the American Association of Justice Competition. He was also selected as a competitor at the Michigan State University Ninth Annual National Trial Advocacy Competition.
Mr. Prestia worked as a Certified County Court Mediator during his years in law school, where he conducted well over 100 county court mediations. He also brings with him the experience of working at a civil litigation firm where he handled personal injury, personal injury protection, and other general civil litigation cases. Mr. Prestia is licensed to practice law in Florida and is a member of The Florida Bar.
